Today I would like to introduce you to a chocolate candy store that I stumbled upon a few weeks ago called Snooks Candies. This fabulous candy company has been in business since 1963 and the company is owned by Jim and Renee Snook who are 3rd generation chocolate makers. You gotta love a family owned & operated company! Their store is actually an on-site chocolate factory and a retail candy store all rolled into one. My Review: The generous folks over at Snooks Candies sent me 2 products to try out for all of you. I am going to admit...I am a chocolate snob and I only like the finest of chocolates that I can get...so I was really excited about doing this chocolate candy review for all of you. First up, the Snooks Candies Honeycomb Milk Chocolate Candy and the Snook's Candies Honeycomb Dark Chocolate Candy. (I received a gift box with both varieties in it). This type of candy is also known as chocolate covered seafoam candy or chocolate sponge candy.

I am going to try to describe it the best I can. The center is like a "sponge"...crunchy with a buttery molasses taste that leaves you wanting more! The outside is in either milk chocolate or dark chocolate and is the best tasting chocolate that I have ever had! Since I have jaw problems (TMJ) I slice mine into thirds and then place one chunk at a time into my mouth and let it slowly melt. OH MY...this candy is pure heaven!!! Seriously folks...it is the best!!! I prefer the milk chocolate honeycomb candy but my hubby prefers the dark chocolate honeycomb candy...they are absolutely delicious!!!

We also received a box of salt caramels from Snooks Candies. They are made with all natural ingredients and come in milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate or you can purchase a mixed box and the tops of each chocolate coated caramel is dusted with Kosher salt. I am not a huge fan of caramels due to my TMJ jaw problem but let me tell you...if you are going to eat chocolate covered caramels...these are the ones you want to eat! They are absolutely delicious...a nice smooth buttery caramel taste...once you try one...you WILL want more!

Overall Impression: Wow...I sure wish I lived in California as I would be shopping at Snooks Candies each and every day! All of the candies we tried out tasted fresh (like they were made that day) and were absolutely delicious. We couldn't eat just one...no folks...my hubby and I totally pigged out on these delicious chocolate confections! All of Snooks candy items arrive beautifully gift boxed so they would make a fabulous gift for the chocolate lover in your life. (although..I recommend that you purchase a few goodies for yourself too!). We highly recommend Snooks Candies to you and trust me folks...my hubby and I are now huge fans of this chocolate company and will be life-long customers!!! We give them a huge 10 stars out of 10 stars!!!
