I have another fabulous vintage recipe to share with all of you today! This recipe is from the late 1960's and if you love homemade old-fashioned buttermilk muffins I think you will love this recipe! It will yield 18 nice sized muffins.
Old-Fashioned Buttermilk Sally Lunn Muffins Recipe
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Sift together the flour, sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In another bowl beat together the eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil. Beat wet mixture into dry mixture until well-blended. Pour batter into a muffin pan, filling the cups 2/3 of the way full. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 17-20 minutes or until done.
