This is a partnered post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.
Are you an Express Scripts client? Do you get your prescriptions filled at Walgreens? If so, I have some information that I would like to share with you today that you need to know!
For the past year, Walgreens has been working with Express Scripts for a new contract to continue to be a provider in their pharmacy network. Those negotiations were unsuccessful and the contract with Express Scrips expired on Dec. 31, 2011. How does this effect you? Well, if you are a client of Express Scripts you can no longer get your prescriptions filled at Walgreens or Duane Reade Pharmacies. This means you have to go elsewhere to get your prescriptions filled which often times means a commute across town to a pharmacy you are not familiar with.
Walgreens is fighting back and they have come up with a way to help all of you who have Express Scripts and they now over you the Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. I think that is absolutely wonderful! That shows you that Walgreens really cares about it customers! Right now you can get a special discount on the annual membership fees costing a family only $10.00 for a year or an individual can join for only $5.00 for a year. Wow, what a great savings!
This Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens is a prescription discount club and you can still stay with your favorite pharmacy Walgreens and get a discount on the medications that you and your family needs. That is pretty awesome Walgreens! You will get savings on over 8,000 brand name and generic name drugs plus get discounts on flu shots, pet medications, diabetic supplies and more!
I would like to invite you to follow Walgreens on Facebook and/or Walgreens on Twitter so that you can show your support to Walgreens and so that you can stay up-to-date on Walgreens news & happenings!
